- There is more good news about the HIV treatment pills that are used to prevent infection in people at high risk of getting the AIDS virus. Researchers say that taking these prevention pills does not encourage risky sex and is effective even if people skip some doses.
- The Powell High School soccer practice field has been vandalized. Powell coach Chris Thorson says the damage happened overnight and this morning they're going through video surveillance. The turf company will estimate the total cost of the damage later today.
- Knox County Election administrator Cliff Rodgers says workers stopped counting and verifying signatures to get the referendum on wine sales for the Farragut ballot when they hit 800.
- Several groups on the Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia borders want to connect the trial systems in the area and create one large trail in an effort to draw more adventure tourism into the area.
