MY SUNSHINE - What do we REALLY need?

The want/need list is getting overwhelming, so I want to know what parents and grandparents found they couldn't live without with a little one around.

My husband and I walked into the big baby store for the first time for ourselves.   I've been shopping for friends, but when I have a list of "suggested" registry items, and dozens of aisles to navigate, it can be overwhelming.

Several friends have children, and have made suggestions on what we really need and then they've heard of things they missed out on.

So, I want to pick the brains of all the moms, dads, parents, grandparents, and anyone that has taken care of a baby.   I figure all the input and maybe we can come up with a real list of needed items for the little guy.

Dr. Brown Bottles (help reduce colic and keep our air) Boppy's are nice to have around, they help you hold up baby when feeding and great to prop baby up when he/she is laying down and have a stuffy nose or just in general before they can raise their head. I didn't buy a crib either, I used a pack and play from birth til they could almost walk. Comes with the changing table and different stages for as they grow. On the side is the diaper/wipes holder too. It was a wonderful thing to have and it was mobile so I could take it places if I was going to be away from home for extended periods. Also, mylacon drops are awesome for gassy babies! Hope this helps some. :)
