More than a dozen employers will be hiring to fill literally hundreds of jobs as the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee stages its first job fair for 2014.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 26th from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on the campus of Pellissippi State Community, which partnered with HCCET to host the event.
The job fair is free and open to anyone seeking employment.
“This is the exact kind of economic outreach that we want to create,” said HCCET President Bill Garibay. “And we are obviously delighted with the outstanding companies that chose to partner with us.
Among the companies that have already committed to participate and have positions that need to be filled immediately are:
• Clayton Homes
• Vanderbilt Services
• Pellissippi Community College
• Home Depot
• Answer Financial
• Sam’s Club
• GC Services
• SL America/Tennessee
• Resource Manufacturing
“Although times may be tough, there are jobs out there…and there are people who need those jobs,” said HCCET CEO Rosa Mar. “If we can help those two groups come together then good things will happen.”
The jobs available cover positions in several sectors including retail, manufacturing and professional services.
Companies interested in participating should contact HCCET Board member Jerry Giffin of Aerotek at 865-292-2415 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
