KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A new procedure in Knoxville can help you shed inches from your waist in less than an hour and there's no recovery time.
Dr. Scott Callicutt from Elite Skin & Laser Center in Knoxville has started the new treatment. His patients have already seen inches fade away.
"I've always had problem areas and I felt like I had tried so many different methods. I thought is this finally the one?" said Fran West.
West lost 2 inches after her first treatment. She says it's easy for her to get a treatment before a big event while on her lunch break.
"And it was so quick and easy. I literally could spend 45 minutes between getting out and back in my car," said West.
"It is a fast easy way to contour your body. For the most part everybody's been very satisfied," said Dr. Callicutt.
Patients can expect to lose inches with a 10-20 minute treatment and 95% of the patients lose two inches or more. Results are achieved without surgery, drugs, pain, bruising, or any need for recovery time.
Lila Strawberry Laser treatments simply empty your fat cells via a medical laser. The cells, neighboring tissue, and structures are not damaged during or after treatment.
Dr. Callicutt describes the process as a string of pearls. That's what the fat cells look like under your skin.
"Those are fatty acids. So what the laser does is breaks down those string of pearls into these fatty acids are what we use as fuel."
Doctors say the treatment costs less than normal liposuction. This procedure is FDA approved and it's recommended that a person get 8 treatments for full results.
