The Santa Hustle Race Series returns for the 2013 holiday season, with the Santa Hustle Smokies Half Marathon & 5K taking place in Sevierville, Tenn. on Sunday, December 15.
This Christmas-themed race includes cookie/candy stations along the course, holiday music, live reindeer, sleigh rides, giant inflatables, a large after-party and more.
All participants receive Santa hats, beards and long sleeve dri-fit shirts for a festive race like any other holiday sporting event.
The Sevierville event is sponsored locally by the Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union, Pepsi, Wilderness at the Smokies resort, B97.5 radio, the Knoxville News Sentinel and WVLT-TV.
A portion of the proceeds from the race benefit Toys for Tots and Keep Sevier Beautiful.
Adrenaline Sports Management began the Santa Hustle in Chicago in 2009 with 1,100 runners and expanded to seven cities in 2012. This year, around 40,000 Santas are expected to take part in these races nationwide.
