MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Taste of Blount, a collection of restaurants, caterers and grocers, is returning for its 16th year on Thursday, September 14, from 6 until 8 p.m. The event will take place at the Theater in the Park in Maryville, across from the Blount County Courthouse.
Tickets cost $25 for Blount County Chamber members and $30 for the public. Tickets cost $15 for students 17 or under or with a college or student ID. Tickets are available for purchase at the Chamber office located at 201 S. Washington Street in Maryville, by phone at 865-983-2241, or online here.
Vendors will include Full Service BBQ, Lambert's Southern Pie & Bake Shop, Lemon Grass, McAlister's Deli, Moe's Southwest Grill, Rocky's Jamaica Sunrise, Roland's Bistro, Sullivan's, The Soup Kitchen, Vienna Coffee House, Gracie's, Shrimp Dock of Alcoa, Artistic Pop and Jamaerican Jerk Centre.
Those who attend will be able to try local fare and vote for their favorite appetizer, beverage, sandwich, main course, dessert, presentation and overall winner.
Rocky's Jamaica Sunrise will be defending its Best Overall title, which the restaurant has won for the past four years. Rocky's Jamaica Sunrise has also won Best Main Course for six consecutive years.
Full Service BBQ will defend its title of Best Sandwich, which it has held for five years.
