The only other places in the country to present viewers with the experience this week are New York and San Francisco.

Regal's headquarters are located in Knoxville, and the literal "pinnacle" of the company is located in Turkey Creek, where fans showed up Thursday to get the one-of-a-kind experience.

The movie is called Alien: Covenant and the VR version is called Alien: Covenant in Utero, and it's definitely not for kids. In the virtual reality setting, the viewers are the aliens exploring new life around them.

"As you're seeing the experience, you literally jump forward to the next target. It's very exhilarating," one viewer told Local 8 News.
