KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - According to the University of Tennessee Pride of the Southland Band Facebook page, Chris Blue will join the halftime performance during the UT-LSU game.
Photographs of Blue, winner of season 12 of 'The Voice,' were posted to the band's Facebook page on November 9, showing the star practicing with band members.
Blue won in May 2017 and took home the $100,000 prize, as well as a chance to sign a record deal with Universal Music Group.
Before joining the show, Blue was a worship leader for six years at Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
Blue also used to work at the University of Tennessee Police Department with his mother. His sister, Ashley, is a police officer with UTPD.
The Pride of the Southland has been dubbed one of the most prestigious programs in the United States.
The marching band has represented the state of Tennessee in 15 presidential inaugural parades - more than any other civilian organization.
