Church Street United Methodist Church celebrates 200 years

An iconic part of downtown Knoxville and Church Street United Methodist Church has been around almost as long as the city itself. This year they celebrate their 200th anniversary.

"This church is probably the most famous piece of architecture in this city," said Jack Neely, who is holding lectures about the history of the church and the history of Knoxville.

If you'd like to attend one of the lectures they are on every Sunday in August, each one has a different topic including immigration and Knoxville literature.
