"Dog Years" among TimeOut's list of 10 best Tribeca Film Fest films

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- TimeOut names the film "Dog Years," shot in East Tennessee, among the top 10 best films at the Tribeca Film Festival.

TimeOut named it 3 on its list of the top 10 Tribeca Film Fest films. "Dare to Be Different" ranked at 1, and 'The Reagan Show" came in at 10.

The film, starring Burt Reynolds, was filmed in Knoxville and was selected to appear in the 16th annual Tribeca Film Festival this year.

It used more than 200 Knoxvillians, like WVLT Chief Meteorologist David Aldrich, as extras and crew members and filmed in places like Neyland Stadium and Market Square.

“Dog Years” is part of the “Viewpoints” lineup at Tribeca, which honors “bold directorial visions, underrepresented perspectives, and innovative style.”
