Dollywood hosts largest entertainment investment in history

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- On Friday Nov. 3, Dolly Parton announced the entertainment lineup for Dollywood's 2018 season. Parton promised this season will feature the biggest and best artists yet, with a $1,000,000 investment increase.

Here's a look at some of the artists and performances that will be featured for each event throughout the year:

Festival of Nations
From March 17 to April 9, the National Dance Company of Siberia, The Flamenco Kings, and Grammy award winner Ladysmith Black Mambazo will be taking the stage. Ladysmith Black Mambazo will be teaming up with Paul Simon, Sarah McLachlan,and many others.

Spring Mix
The all new Spring Mix music series will be from April 11 to the 29, and will feature Bogguss, Sheppard, Pam Tillis, Gayle, Connie Smith and Shenandoah, Amy Grant, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Larnelle Harris, David Phelps and comedienne Chonda Pierce. It will also feature The Marshall Tucker Band, The Drifters, Debby Boone, The Atlanta Rhythm Section, Firefall, and Al Stewart.

Barbecue and Bluegrass

From May 25 to June 10, Grammy and IBMA winner Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, IMBA winners Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, and Dailey & Vincent will be headlining.

Summer Celebration

iLuminate, finalists on the 2011 America's Got Talent, DRUMline live, and speed painter Dan Dunn will be some of the biggest features during the summer.

Rock the Smokies

August 25 will host some of the biggest contemporary Christian artists, like Toby Mac and Crowder.
