KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Mission Pack the Bus returns to Turkey Creek for tax free weekend.

A school bus will be parked outside of Office Max in Turkey Creek. The goal is to stuff the bus with school supplies to help families all across East Tennessee through Mission of Hope.

"We all need to get our school supplies, so grab the extra supplies while it's tax free weekend and really make the day for a child who might not have it otherwise," Kiley Niles, Marketing Director for Turkey Creek.

Mission Pack the Bus will be set up July 29 - 31 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

If you make a school supply donation, you'll receive a free pizza from Blaze Pizza and a free Frozen yogurt from Menchie's.

The donations will go to more than 20 elementary schools in the region.

"We're trying to help more schools than ever before. Twenty-eight rural elementary schools will receive these supplies. It will put us over 12,000 students who will get brand new back packs, supplies and hygiene items. To know these people are willing to do this for us is awesome," said Emmette Thompson, Executive Director of Mission of Hope.
