Dragon Boat Festival raises money for KARM

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The KARM Dragon Boat Festival is expected to attract thousands to the Cove at Concord Park on Saturday.

People can enjoy the high intensity boat races, music, children's activities, and food.

This is the 14th year the boat festival has been held in Knoxville. It goes from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

More than 40 corporate and community teams are expected to compete for awards.

Last year, the festival raised more than $190,000 to support the programs and services Knox Area Rescue Ministries provides to those in need. This year's goal is $215,000.
