Fans head to Memphis for Elvis Presley's celebration of life

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Friends and fans of late singer and actor Elvis Presley are descending on Memphis, Tennessee, for Elvis Week, the annual celebration of his life and career.

It coincides with the anniversary of the passing of Presley, who died on Aug. 16, 1977.

Highlights of the week's events include a memorabilia auction, performances by tribute artists and forums where musicians like singers Bill Medley and Ginger Holladay and bassist Norbert Putnam will talk about their experiences with The King
