Homemade baby wipes alternative

By  |

Looking for a low-cost alternative to buying baby wipes?
Here is one recipe modified from that from the WVE organization.

Soft fabric to cut into wipes (such as an old t-shirt)
Scissors
Clean, empty spray bottle
1-3 teaspoons non-toxic liquid soap such as castile or baby soap
1-2 cups distilled water

Cut t-shirt fabric into small squares.

Add one or two cups distilled water to your spray bottle.
Add one to three teaspoons of liquid soap to the bottle.
Cap the spray bottle and shake well to mix the soap and water.

During diaper changing, spray a dry fabric square with the mixture in the spray bottle to create a wipe. Dispose of wipes or launder them as you would cloth diapers.
