Sevierville police hide special rocks with prize to meet K-9 officers

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Officers from the Sevierville Police Department have been busy painting rocks to hide in the community bearing the names of K-9 officers within the department.

The rocks were set to be hidden in Sevierville on Saturday morning, August 12. Once the rocks are hidden, clues will be posted in the comments of this Facebook post.

Anyone who finds a rock can send a message to the department's Facebook page that includes a picture of the finder holding the rock. Those who find rocks should also send their contact information so that the department can set up a meeting between the finder and the K-9 officer.

Rock finders should bring the rocks to their meetings with the corresponding K-9 officers to trade for a smaller one to keep.

"Arf, Arf, Arf & good luck from Buck, Pasco, Blitz & Boris!" said the police department in their social media post about the competition.
