Tennessee Stage Company searches for canine acting talent

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee Stage Company announced their search for a "delightfully devious doggo" to play the role of Crab in their production of Two Gentlemen of Verona on Market Square this summer.

The casting call announcement describes the role as "the sourest-natured dog that lives. A cruel-hearted cur who does not shed one tear upon the parting of his Launce and his family as they head to the imperial court. He can have no more pity in him than a dog."

Auditions are being held on the lawn of Young Williams Animal Center Saturday, May 20, from 2 until 4 p.m.
