KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The East Tennessee Fishing Show and expo overtook the Knoxville Expo Center with all the latest fishing technologies, tools and accessories, as well as appearances by professional fishermen.
The show was scheduled to run from January 26-29th, beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday and running until Sunday at 5 p.m. The Knoxville Expo Center is located on Clinton Highway. Admission was set at $10 for entrance.
Professional appearances were scheduled throughout the show by Ott DeFoe, Terry "The Big Show" Scroggins, Shaw Grigsby and Randy Howell, among many others.
Besides exhibitors of boats, kayaks, lures, bait, equipment and technology, the show also includes seminars from fishing professionals and local fishermen with the help of the "Hawg Trough," a 5,000 gallon mobile fish tank.
Exhibitors were arranged to offer fishing gear for Bass, Crappie, Trout, Walleye, and "all species under the sun," according to the event's website.
A Trout Pond was set up in the Expo Center to encourage children to practice their casting and get the hang of the sport. The show was also planned to include Zeke's Minnow Racing, a new event planned for kids to see who has the fastest minnow in lanes set up for them to swim.
