KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- The amount of money parents and teachers are spending on school supplies is getting expensive.Supplies for one kid in middle school can ad up to over $200, not to mentions those parents with multiple kids in school.
Luckily some parents have decided to do a little extra and buy extra supplies to help teachers and parents who are struggling with the cost.
There is also a local agency, ADFAC, that is based out of Oak Ridge that helps low-income families get all the supplies their kids need for school. They have helped about 3,000 students a year.
