Two arrested in Knoxville music store thefts

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two suspects were arrested after a string of music store thefts that resulted in several guitars being stolen.

The thefts began in August, and the last incident happened Friday, September 8, at a Guitar Center store. After posting pictures of one of the suspects on Facebook on August 28, several anonymous tips were given identifying the male.

Three felony theft warrants were filed for the arrest of the suspect, Travis Keith Moretz. Moretz was located and arrested on Saturday, September 9, by the Knox County Sheriff's Office. KCSO also charged Moretz on misdemeanor charges of simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Moretz is being held without bond on violation of probation charges on a previous aggravated burglary.

During the investigation, officials identified and took into a custody a second suspect. Kent Michael Goosie was charged with one count of felony theft. KCSO also charged Goosie with misdemeanor simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Goosie is being held on a $9,000 bond.
