WINFIELD, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two people were killed in a Scott County crash Friday morning.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene on US Highway 27 at 10:24 a.m. According to the incident report, the crash happened at around 9:47 a.m. Friday.
Jeffrey N. Maney, 28, was driving a 2010 Nissan Sentra traveling north on US Highway 27. At the same time, Margaret G. Bridges, 60, was driving a 2013 Kia Optima traveling south on Highway 27.
According to the incident report, Maney's vehicle crossed into the southbound traffic lane and struck Bridges head on. Both drivers were killed from the crash.
Neither driver was found to have been drinking or using drugs, though neither driver was using a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash was in the Winfield area of Scott County.
