Suspects in music store thefts taken into custody

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- For the past month, two men made a bold move targeting the same two stores and taking off with thousands of dollars' worth of stolen guitars.

One night, the thief made off with two guitars at Lane Music. The store surveillance video captured everything and gave the store a good glimpse of the suspect. The store then posted the picture of the suspect on Facebook.

"Lots of people sending out their best wishes for us and try to help us find this guy," Lane Music manager Wyatt Thaemert said.

Even though the pictures were shared multiple times, there was still no word on who the man is, or where the guitars ended up, but that all changed Tuesday. Both managers said they found out the suspect in the thefts is now behind bars. KPD confirmed and the suspects are now in custody, facing multiple charges.

Travis Keith Moretz and Kent Michael Goosie were identified as the suspects detained and charged in the thefts. Moretz is being held without bond, and Goosie is being held on a $9,000 bond.

"You don't want to speculate what they're going through, what their afflictions might be. Ultimately we're happy to have our product back and we hope this guy gets help wherever he ends up," Thaemert said.
