KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Former University of Tennessee football star and current New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is using a fine from the National Football League to do some good in the community.
Kamara was fined $6,000 by the NFL for wearing Christmas-themed cleats during a Christmas Eve game.
Kamara posted to twitter after receiving the fine, saying he would start the GoFundMe account. He made good on that as the page went live Thursday night.
