Patriots shut down Canes on Rivalry Thursday

Dandridge, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Mark Packer and Austin Price had the call of this weeks Rivalry Thursday match up in Dandridge. Jefferson County used a stout defense and strong ground game to blast through the Hurricanes 26-6. Turnovers were also a problem for the visiting Canes.

It was a great job by Jefferson County from start to finish, they capitalized on Morristown East mistakes and were able to run the ball effectively a great effort by the Patriots all night long Clay Woods was great and your Senior signal caller was equally as good and when you look at Jefferson County, this is a team that scored only 6-points in their opener last week, they put up 26 tonight and defensively, this team has given up just 9-points thru two games.

Next week the road gets tougher as Jeff County, now 2-0, travels to Bearden .
