Tennessee focused on pressuring Florida's quarterbacks

KNOXVILLE, TN (WVLT)-- Look at the stat line through the first two games and a glaring number one will stand out. It's the number of Tennessee sacks through the first two games of the season.

Tennessee players and coaches believe the number isn't reflective of how the defense has played thus far. "We've played two unconventional styles of offense that don't really drop back and pass." Said defensive lineman Kendal Vickers. "It's going to be a great challenge going up against Florida and being able to rush the passer this week."

Butch Jones had similar remarks stating that the SEC is a line of scrimmage league and it all starts with impacting the quarterback, which is much more than just sacks. Jones said they've done things to impact the quarterback such as tipped balls, pressures, and making the quarterbacks escape the pocket.

Tennessee and Florida is slated for this Saturday at 3:30 ET. The game can be seen on WVLT.
