KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A 23 year-old Washington Pike man was arrested Monday night for allegedly stabbing a 14 year-old boy with a box cutter.
Witnesses tell police, Rafael Silvestre stabbed the Knoxville teen after he accused the victim of stealing some of his tools around 9:30 p.m.. That led to an argument, during which witnesses said Silvestre stabbed the boy in the lower back.
Silvestre was charged with one count of Aggravated Assault. He is being held at the Knox Co. Detention Facility on $5,000 bond.
The victim was taken to UT Medical Center for treatment
