KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police have arrested two people after an armed robbery at the Pilot convenience store on Tazewell Pike last Wednesday.

They say 18-year-old Deonte Womac and a 17-year-old were cuffed Thursday in the 2600 block of Bakertown Road.

Officers say witnesses told them the duo entered the store and robbed a woman at gunpoint. They say one of them forced her to the ground and held her while they looked for money and cigarettes. They also took her purse.

The victim received minor injuries.

Womac is charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery and one count of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping.

He will also be served with an additional Aggravated Robbery charge from an incident that happened at the Family Market on Tennessee Avenue, which happened April 3.

A juvenile petition for one count of Aggravated Robbery will be issued Monday for the second suspect.

Other charges may be filed.
