A handful of crime scene photos are about the only clues Knox County investigator Amy Dobbs has in this 30 year old cold case. "Normally, we have some kind of clues like a weapon. But here, we have nothing."

The victim was shot in the head. However, there aren't any witnesses, no one can identify the victim, and there's no connection to a missing persons report. A facial re-constructionist at The University of Tennessee created the only glimpse into the mystery. The man's
skull and other details taken from his remains helped her craft his features. Investigator Dobbs hopes this jolts someone's memory.

"We would like to bring closure to a family member. Obviously he was someones son, parent, uncle, brother. We would like to give the family closure and give the man a name."

Hundreds of thousands of DNA samples are cross referenced across the nation each day, so far there has not been a match. If you think you are related to this person, and want to give your DNA sample, or have other information, call Investigator Dobbs at 865-215-3705.
