KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- William Macklin was reportedly looking for his niece when he was shot in the jaw at Walter P. Taylor Homes late Thursday night, according to Knoxville Police Dept. spokesperson Darrell DeBusk.
The forty-seven year-old's mother said she dropped Macklin off to see if he could find his niece. A little while later, Macklin was brought back to her after being shot.
She took him to Tennova Hospital in Oak Hill. Officers were called to meet them there shortly before 11:00 p.m. Macklin has since been moved to UT Medical Center for treatment.
