Apartment argument spurs charges against both men

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A man told police his roommate cut him with a knife during an argument in their apartment Wednesday night.

When police arrived at the apartment building, 2526 Parkview Ave., around 10:40 p.m. they found the victim outside with what they called a "minor scratch on the side of the head" and said he did not need any medical treatment.

Police said the men had conflicting stories about what happened, but they did say both men agreed that the victim was trying to force his way into the apartment to get his clothes when the fight broke out.

Assault charges were filed against the man who was leasing the apartment, while the victim was arrested for trespassing since he had allegedly been told several times to stay away from the apartment.
