Arrest made in Murfreesboro car wash killing

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -- Murfreesboro police have arrested a man on homicide charges in the shooting death of a teenager at a car wash in a busy part of town last Friday.

Officers said 29-year-old Nicholas Wade was taken into custody without incident Friday at an apartment complex.

He is charged in the death of 17-year-old Kevin Knotts, who was found shot to death shortly after 8 p.m. in a car wash stall in front of a Walmart.

A motive for the shooting was not released.
