Attempted murder suspect turns herself in

 A woman wanted for attempted murder in Kingsport turned herself in to Knoxville police early Tuesday morning, a KPD spokesperson said.

Sharon Phillips turned herself in to authorities early Tuesday morning.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A woman wanted for attempted murder in Kingsport turned herself in to Knoxville police early Tuesday morning, a KPD spokesperson said.

Around 2:30 a.m., E-911 dispatchers received a call coming from a woman who claimed she was wanted for attempted murder. The call reportedly came from the Mission, 418 North Broadway.

A records check revealed the woman, Sharon Phillips, 41, was wanted in Kingsport on charges of Attempted First Degree Murder and Aggravated Arson. She was arrested and held until authorities there could respond.
