BARBOURVILLE, Kentucky (WVLT) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating a double shooting in Barbourville, Kentucky, that left one woman dead and another man wounded.

KSP said they were called in to help the Knox Co. (KY) Sheriff's Office shortly before 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Sheriff's Office had initially responded to a domestic dispute call.

Arriving at Blue Gable Straight, authorities found Francis Elliot, 54, had been fatally shot. Her body was taken to the State Medical Examiners Office for autopsy. Randy Hale, 42, had suffered a gunshot wound as well and had to be flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Kentucky State Police said the case is still under investigation.
