KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Three homes were raided in Knox County Wednesday as part of three unrelated drug investigations.
The first two were in the Lonsdale area on Maryland Avenue and Rector Avenue resulting in the arrest of four people.
According to authorities, marijuana, cocaine and weapons were found in both homes.
A South Knoxville home was the third home at the center of a drug investigation Wednesday afternoon.
Knox County Sheriff's Spokesperson Martha Dooley told Local 8 News tips and calls from concerned neighbors helped speed up the investigation.
'I threw out a lot of emails and made a lot of phone calls," said Barry Fetterman. " If you're not proactive your not going to get anything done."
Officers found 6 surveillance cameras outside the Lester Rd home. They haven't released what, if anything, was found inside.
No arrests were made. The investigation is ongoing.
