TELLICO PLAINS, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Investigators are searching for the woman they believe shot a man in Tellico Plains Wednesday morning.

Richard Jason Walker was shot in abdomen around 7:20 a.m. and had to be flown to UT Medical Center via Life Star, according to the Monroe Co. Sheriff's Office. The thirty-four year-old's injuries aren't considered life-threatening.

He was able to provide a description the woman to authorities, who said they will release more information when it becomes available.
