Baileyton man pleads not guilty to child porn charges

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Baileyton man pleaded not guilty on Thursday to multiple charges related to producing and possessing child pornography, according to the U.S. Dept. of Justice.

Stanley Weems, 67, faces a three-count indictment for producing Child Pornography, Possession of Child Pornography, and Grooming a Minor for Purposes of Sexual Exploitation.

According to the indictment, for the three years up to and on or about July 21, 2011 Weems "employed, used, persuaded, induced, enticed, and coerced minor children to engage in sexually explicit conduct, including sexual intercourse with adults, which he recorded and photographed."

He faces 15 to 30 years, if convicted, and a fine of up to $250,000.
