Two Blount County Sheriff's Deputies were hurt while trying to serve a warrant Thursday.
Deputy Eddie Nickerson suffered a broken ankle and a gash on his head.
Deputy Nathan Payne was taken to the hospital after being pricked with a needle.
It all started when Deputy Nickerson showed up at a house on Hollyhock Way to serve Joshua Hackler.
Police say Hackler fought back, and sprayed the deputy in the face with pepper spray.
Officers eventually took Hackler into custody.
They also arrested Chessica Gayheart.
Both are charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
