CRIMETRACKER: Murder case going to grand jury

Knoxville (WVLT) Police say a Knoxville man killed another man on his front porch. Now that case will go to a grand jury.

James Keith Hudgins, 47, is charged with first degree murder in the death of Larry Joe Turner Jr. on October 17.

Hudgins appeared in Knox County felony court Monday and waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Turner's son said Hudgins was drunk when he came by the home on East Churchwell Avenue. He adds Hudgins left, but soon returned and killed Turner.
