CHURCH HILL, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Church Hill man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly delivering three Percocets to a narcotics officer, the Hawkins Co. Sheriff's Office announced on Monday.
Thirty-four year-old Daniel Curtis Barnett thought he was dealing with a friend when he arranged to drop off the pills. It turned out he was texting with the Narcotics Unit, which got the cell phone following an unrelated investigation.
When he arrived and found the officers waiting for him, Barnett voluntarily handed over the pills. A search of his vehicle turned up more tablets as well as Xanax tablets and sublingual suboxone strips.
Barnett is charged with charges of Possession of Schedule II with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He is being held at Hawkins Co, Jail. Bond has not been set.
