Claiborne County makes more arrests in battle against illegal drugs

CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- Claiborne County Sheriff David Ray says the sheriff's department has arrested 17 people after several warrants were served in a drug roundup Wednesday morning.

Deputies and agents with the Eighth Judicial Drug Task Force met at the Claiborne County Justice Center Wednesday morning to prepare for the roundup. Five of the 17 people arrested were already in custody at the Claiborne County Jail, and the charges on the drug warrants will extend the time they are currently serving.

According to Sheriff Ray, the arrests have come after nearly six months of undercover investigations by both the deputies and the agents and more arrests are expected.

Here are the people arrested on Wednesday:

Tina Marie Monday, 26, for sale and deliver of schedule II. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

Cecil Ray Pierce, 74, for sale and deliver of schedule III in a drug free zone and for the sale and deliver of schedule IV in a drug free zone. He was released on a $2,000 bond.

Kimberly Nantz, 39, for sale and deliver of schedule II. She is currently being held in the Claiborne County Jail.

Michael Parker, 56, for fraud obtaining TennCare Med, theft under $500 and sale and deliver schedule III controlled substance. He was released on a $2,000 bond.

Anthony W. Brock, 39, for sale and deliver of schedule II and possession schedule II with intent. He remains in jail on a $2,500 bond.

Gary Bunch, for sale and deliver of schedule II in drug free zone. He was released on a $2,000 bond.

Christopher F. Justice, 34, for sale and deliver of schedule II. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Gary Ellis, for sale and deliver of schedule II. He remains in jail on a $1,000 bond.

Terrie J. Ellis, 38, for sale and deliver of schedule II. She remains in jail on a $1,000 bond.

Kelly Lewis, 38, for sale and deliver of schedule II and III. She was released from jail on a $50,000 bond.

Gregory A. Rowe, 48, for sale and deliver of schedule II and IV. He was released from jail on a $1,000 bond.

Richard A. Selover, 23, for sale and deliver of schedule II. He remains in jail on a $1,000 bond.

Tammy West, 48, for sale and deliver of schedule II, two counts. She was released on a $2,500 bond.

Paul R. Gray, 46, for conspiracy to introduce drugs into penal facility. He was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
