KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- UPDATE: It was in Criminal Court Three that Stanley James learned he'll serve hard time in prison for gunning down a man he thought was a switch. Before the judge issued her ruling the victim's family gave an emotional statement.

"Stanley James, you don't have a clue what impact your decision to shoot Henry has made on our family," said Marilyn James, mother of the victim.

Both Marilyn and Chuck Williams, Henry's father, finally address the man who murdered their son in cold blood in.

"Seeing my son laying on the ground lifeless is something that gives me nightmares to this day," he said.

James, a convicted drug dealer, who's not kin to the victim, shot the 21-year-old in 2009 because of a rumor Henry was a snitch. "Came to find out my son wasn't the one snitching. We don't know where he got that from."

The judge dropped the hammer, imposing the maximum sentence. "You will spend 25 years in state penitentiary."

With James locked up for a quarter century, does it mean closure for Henry's family? Said his mother, "No, it doesn't get any better."

And Stanley's troubles are far from over. "He has a fugitive from justice case that has to be resolved," in Michigan. "If the federal authorities decide to pick him up he would be looking at consecutive time," said prosecutor Kevin Allen.
