CLINTON, Tenn. (WVLT) -- An Anderson Co. corrections officer found herself behind bars after a sting operation caught her offering prescription narcotics to an inmate, Sheriff Paul White announced.
Twenty-one year-old Kaitlin Paige Hardin was still on probation at the detention facility when she was arrested on Tuesday. She was hired last month and fired immediately after being arrested.
Investigators were tipped that Hardin was slipping the narcotics to an inmate and initiated the sting. Further investigation revealed she had brought drugs into the facility at least once before, White said.
Hardin was charged with two counts each of Manufacture/Delivery/Sale/Possession of a Controlled Substance and Introduction of
Drugs Into A Penal Institution. She is being held in jail without bond.
