CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Two cousins charged in the torture slaying of a Chattanooga pastor have blamed each other and are asking a judge for separate trials, but the prosecutor says one trial is enough.

District Attorney Bill Cox said at a hearing Monday that 26-year-old Antonio Henry and his teenage cousin, Brendan Barnes, should be tried together. Cox said they "did the crime together."

Both are charged with first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery in the October 2010 slaying of the Rev. David Strong. The 55-year-old Strong was pastor at St. Paul AME Church in Chattanooga when police found his battered and slashed body at his home.

Criminal Court Judge Don Poole did not immediately rule. He set a Nov. 28 hearing and said March 6 and April 3 are possible trial dates.
