KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) The Knoxville Police Dept. identified the man accused of robbing the ORNL Federal Credit Union on Clinton Hwy. on Wednesday. David Wayne Wilson, 33, is reportedly being held on a Federal Bank Robbery charge in Blount Co.
Wilson was captured Wednesday evening around 7:40 p.m., the day after he allegedly robbed the credit union.
Police say he went into the branch in northwest Knoxville and handed tellers a note claiming he had a weapon. He then took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police did not release any details of his arrest.
