KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police are investigating two robberies in North Knoxville.

The first happened Monday around 6:40 AM at a bus stop in the 5200 block of N. Broadway.

Officers say two women told them they were waiting for the bus when a man came up and pushed one of them to the ground and took her backpack.

The man then took the other lady's purse and ran toward a silver car.

The second one happened Monday around 7:50 AM at the Super Wash House on N. Central Street.

Officers say a man told them two suspects robbed him at gunpoint while he was doing his laundry.

They got away with his keys, wallet, and cell phone.

Police say they're unsure if the two incidents are related.
