NEWPORT, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Cocke County Sheriff's Office says several people were busted for drugs on Thursday.
Deputies say crack cocaine was purchased from homes on Filbert Street, Mineral Street, and Lookout Drive in Newport.
Deputies say the three locations were being used by Craig Stewart, Steve Maxwell, Shawn Russell Phillips, and Terranie Ray whom conspire together to sell and deliver crack cocaine.
Approximately 8 grams of white rock substance, believed to be crack cocaine, and .3 grams of suspected marijuana were found in the children’s toy box at the home on Filbert Street.
Officers discovered one hand gun hidden in a back pack and a sawed off 12GA shotgun in closet of another room. A second hand gun was located in a kitchen cabinet.
Deputies say approximately 71 rocks of suspected crack cocaine, one large rock of suspected crack cocaine, approximately 11.9 grams of suspected powder cocaine, multiple packaging containers with suspected cocaine residue, Xanax , Oxycodone, and digital scales were found in the home on Mineral Street.
At the home on Mineral Street, deputies say they found eight Marijuana plants growing in the window.
