CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two Crossville men are facing attempted murder charges after a man shows up at a Cumberland Co. gas station with an apparent gunshot wound in his abdomen, according to the Cumberland Co. Sheriff's Office.
Police said a neighbor dropped off the victim, Kencar McGee at the BP station on Plateau Rd. around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. When emergency crews arrived, they were able to triage him before he was air lifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Officials believe the suspects, Danny Bilyeu and Nathaniel Payne, burst into McGee's home, 3048 Plateau Road, and fired multiple shots, striking him. Both suspects then quickly fled.
Bilyeu and Payne were both charged with Attempted First Degree Murder and will be held without bond until their scheduled court date on April 29, 2013.
