GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A man convicted in a Greeneville bank robbery has been handed a lengthy prison sentence.
The Greeneville Sun reported a U.S. District Court judge sentenced Larry Shane Morgan on Thursday to more than 39 years in prison. He was convicted in the July 2, 2012, armed robbery of a branch of Greeneville Federal Bank and the robbery four days earlier of a Chuckey convenience store.
The total prison term imposed was 471 months. There is no parole in the federal system.
