GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) -- An Indiana woman fights for her life after being stabbed while in Gatlinburg on Thursday.
Officers found the victim, 22 year-old Amber Leslie, in the Hillside Motel Apartments around 2:30 p.m. The Fort Wayne, Indiana, woman was flown via Lifestar to UT Medical Center where she is listed in stable condition.
Sources say the woman was stabbed multiple times.
An investigation into the stabbing led detectives to her boyfriend, James E. Heroy III, of New Haven, Indiana. The 22 year-old was charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and is being held in the Sevier Co. Jail.
