Crimetracker: KPD investigating armed robbery at CVS

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Knoxville Police are investigating an armed robbery at a CVS.

It happened at the CVS on the 4300 block of Asheville Highway just after 7 p.m. Saturday night.

According to KPD, a customer inside the store called 911 as the robbery was taking place, giving a description of the suspect and the direction he went after fleeing from the store.

The CVS manager told police the suspect, who was dressed in all black, jumped over the counter, pointed a gun at her and demanded money. The suspect ran from the store with an undetermined amount of cash.

When officers arrived, they set up a perimeter and a K-9 search was conducted, but the suspect was not located.
